Will Fuller is X-Factor in Texans' Upset Bid Against Chiefs
It's no secret the Houston Texans are a completely different animal on offense when Wide receiver Will Fuller is on the gridiron. The only problem with this is it feels like Fuller is almost never in action, as the speed demon is a notoriously injury-prone player, missing 22 games in his four-year career with over half of those coming in the last two seasons.
With Fuller potentially out once again for Houston this Sunday, his availability will be the determining factor in Houston's bid to upset the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
With Fuller active, the Texans average around 296.8 passing yards per game. Without him, that number drops dramatically, to around 158.3 yards per game. Fuller's lightning quick speed and ability to stretch the field does wonders for QB Deshaun Watson, as it opens up several passing lanes while keeping the defense honest on play action.
After logging multiple limited practices this week, the Texans are hopeful that Fuller will be on the field for this contest that could very well represent the biggest game in the franchise's brief history.
A Fuller-less offense will have a lot of trouble keeping up in a potential shootout with the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs. Even with higher profile names like J.J Watt and DeAndre Hopkins on the roster, there is no player on par with Fuller as we look into potential X-Factors for this game.
