Wisconsin Provides Update on Assistant Basketball Coach Howard Moore After Tragic Car Accident

It's a sad day in Madison as the Wisconsin Badgers family mourns a terrible tragedy that struck one of their own. Assistant basketball coach Howard Moore and his family were involved in a car accident Saturday that ultimately claimed the lives of his wife and daughter. Moore and his son survived the crash, though both were injured. Now, the university has provided an update on Coach Moore's status.

By all accounts, Moore and his son, Jerrell, are both stable and improving. Nothing will ever get back what they've lost, but the possibility of their full recovery keeps this terrible story from becoming even worse.

Coach Moore is in stable condition in the ICU and his son, Jerell, is up and walking around. The family continues to ask for as much privacy as possible.
The outpouring of well-wishes and condolences has been significant in the face of such loss. It's enouraging to see the college basketball community rallying behind Howard and Jerrell Moore in this most difficult of times.
