Woj Insists Nets Could Viably Get Kevin Durant if Kyrie Irving Heads to Brooklyn
By Max Scoli

No matter what team you're a fan of, odds are you're doing the mental calculations to figure out where Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant will land this offseason, and whether they'll land in tandem.
As recent rumors peg Kyrie Irving as interested in joining the Brooklyn Nets, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN insists that KD might follow in his footsteps.

“If Durant wants to play with Kyrie Irving in free agency, then Brooklyn is absolutely more than a viable option. The Clippers are in there more for KD, individually...[Kyrie’s] focus right now, if he leaves Boston, is the Brooklyn Nets”
There are a lot of rumors out there about where Durant prefers to play next season, but it really is going to depend on which players go where and how the dominos fall on June 30 at 6:00 PM ET.
It seems Kyrie might want to win a championship in a Nets uniform, and Kevin Durant is probably his best chance at doing just that. Realizing this, he has reportedly begun recruiting the former NBA MVP to join the team even before he's signed on.
"The interest in Brooklyn is real from Kyrie, that's been known for a long time. And I have a source that tells me Kyrie is trying to pursue Kevin Durant. He has reached out to KD and tried to persuade him [to come to the Nets]." — @criscarter80 pic.twitter.com/EFEaWlptnp

Hey, what happened to the Knicks in this whole debacle, anyway?
Is this feasible? Well, the Nets just traded Allen Crabbe to the Atlanta Hawks to free up cap space to make room for Kyrie Irving, but the only way Brooklyn would have the financial flexibility to go after both Kyrie and KD this offseason is if they choose to not resign D'Angelo Russell, who had a breakout season and is in the running for Most Improved Player of the Year.
The Nets gave up A LOT to dump just 1 year of a bad contract.

Yet, if GM Sean Marks hits a grand slam by luring a max free agent or two to Brooklyn, it was 100% worth it.
It's like an NFL team trading up in the draft to land a franchise QB. If it works out, it's worth the cost https://t.co/DNpD4TcIz6
No matter what the Nets decide, it appears as though good times are coming for a Brooklyn team who could be in contention for the NBA Finals next year for the first time in nearly 15 seasons.
