The Cleveland Browns couldn't possibly do worse than the inept Freddie Kitchens, right?

...Right?

You'd be hard-pressed to find a coordinator/assistant or heralded college head coach less qualified to be an NFL head coach. Still, the Browns never fail at deceiving their fanbase. With interviews fully underway, let's highlight some of the worst possible fits for Cleveland's coaching vacancy.

3. Brian Daboll

Daboll, for the most part, called a great game for the Bills against the Texans on Saturday, and was ultimately let down by the inexperience of his young quarterback. He's done a tremendous job morphing Buffalo's subpar offensive personnel into an efficiency machine. However, asking Daboll to go from calling plays in a press box to conducting the Browns' runaway train of a roster is a recipe for unmitigated disaster.

2. Josh McDaniels

We understand why McDaniels is a hot commodity amongst teams looking to fill their head coaching void, but that doesn't necessarily mean we agree with it. There's nothing wrong with admitting that some coordinators/assistants are simply fulfilling their utmost potential in that very role. McDaniels was 11-17 in less than two seasons as HC of the Broncos and completely abandoned by the Colts after previously agreeing to become their next HC. This Browns roster needs an experienced coach that will tolerate no petulant antics. McDaniels failure to commit to past projects proves that he does anything but fit that bill.

1. Urban Meyer

The Browns reportedly have "strong" interest in hiring Meyer, and we aren't surprised considering the resume he's put together at the college level. That's our only problem with the former Buckeyes boss: he's never coached in the NFL. When you couple Meyer's shady past with a Cleveland roster in need of maturation and discipline, we couldn't think of a worse pairing.
