VIDEO: XFL's Dallas Renegades Troll Astros and Houston Roughnecks With Trash Cans on Sunday

The new and improved XFL is seeking to create rivalries in its first season. The "Texas Throwdown" took place Sunday, as the red hot Houston Roughnecks took on the Dallas Renegades. The Roughnecks improved to 4-0 with a 27-20 victory, but the Renegades went full troll during the game, and tried to get in the heads of Houston's players with a sterling repetition of an Astros-themed trash can reference.
The Houston Roughnecks are in town, so naturally, the @XFLRenegades staff is beating on trash cans in honor of the Astros. #XFL #MLB pic.twitter.com/zOarAs7Acw

Yup, this happened every time the team from Houston was on offense. Unfortunately, it didn't signal any play.
This may be a preview of what is to come when the Astros go on the road this season. The Roughnecks didn't seem to be too bothered by the action, and some players on the team may have not even known what was going on.

The best part about the troll is that it took place in a baseball stadium. The stadium was not exactly full, but the XFL is still working to build brand loyalty. Sticking it to the opponent's city is a good way to get home fans feeling a rivalry in the first season of a new team's existence. Astros fans can now hate on the Renegades, if they weren't already paying attention.
