DC Defenders Tickets Being More Expensive Than Redskins Tickets is Embarrassing
The XFL officially made its return to our living rooms over the weekend, and it was a pretty spirited debut for everyone involved. Those lucky enough to live in the DC area were able to see their Defenders take down Seattle.
Indeed, DC came away with a 31-19 win over the Dragons, with some exciting plays stealing the show at Audi Field. But for those of you inside the stadium to catch the action, can you believe you paid more than had you wanted to watch certain Redskins games in 2019?
Poor Dan Snyder. He probably assumed that with the season over for Washington, he'd have no more embarrassments to look forward to (at least until the NFL Draft).
Alas, the Defenders have arrived, and some of their tickets were actually more expensive than watching the hopeless Redskins offense try to put points on the board in some cases.
And keep in mind that they play in a stadium built for DC United of Major League Soccer. Ouch.
The stands were pretty packed, too. Imagine, excitement for some pigskin is back in our nation's capital! However, it's the Defenders and not the Redskins bringing it. What a world.
