XFL Salary Structure Explained
By Mark Powell

The XFL is off and running, and surprisingly it's pretty damn entertaining thus far.
Debuting new kickoff and three-point conversion rules (among others), the XFL is a confusing concept to some. Nonetheless, we can't look away. With that in mind, how much are the players -- those who are actually pedaling the sport -- making?

How Much Do XFL Players Make?
The average salary of an XFL player is around $55,000. This includes a bi-weekly paycheck which averages out to about $2,080. Sure, that leaves a lot to be desired compared to the paydays of NFL players, but we have to keep an open mind that this is a new league just trying to get off the ground. Committing too much money to their talent would buoy the growth of the XFL long-term.
This, of course, doesn't mean salaries are stuck at that level.

The best quarterbacks in the XFL, as is the case in the NFL, will make more than your average player. Per Yahoo!, top quarterbacks will earn around $500,000, in a group that could include the likes of Cardale Jones, Landry Jones and Josh Johnson.
