Yadi Molina Rolling Up to Cardinals Game in All Blues Gear Will Get St. Louis Pumped
By Sean Facey
Unlike the Red Sox, the St. Louis Cardinals seem to be a united front as to which team they're supporting in the Stanley Cup Finals.
Yadier Molina showed up to the Redbirds' Saturday game against the dvision rival Cubs clad in all Blues gear to pump up the the local faithful now that the NHL's championship series is tied at one game apiece.
He's got the hat, he's got the shirt and he's definitely got the spirit.
The Blues, who are vying for their first Stanley Cup title in the franchise's five-decade history, are set to square off against the Boston Bruins for Game 3 in St. Louis on Saturday night with the wind at their backs following an overtime victory in Game 2 in Boston.
Molina is undoubtedly the patron saint of active athletes in the city of St. Louis. The 16-year MLB veteran has won two World Series with the Cardinals as a stabilizing force behind the plate, and will surely find himself in the Hall of Fame one day.
St. Louis will have plenty to cheer for on Saturday as the city pulls for both the Blues and Cardinals, both of whom play critical games. If all goes well, the fans (and Yadi) will be celebrating two famous wins by the end of the night.
