Yankee Fans Should All Be on High Alert After Subtle Reference in Marcus Stroman's Wednesday Tweet
By Adam Weinrib

Toronto Blue Jays ace Marcus Stroman may have said his goodbyes to the Six on Wednesday with a flourish, posting seven excellent innings and leaving to an emotional standing ovation.
And if trade deadline moves were decided by fan bases, he'd certainly be taking his high-energy act home to the Bronx.
Though Jon Heyman reported on Wednesday night that the Yanks only viewed Stro Show as a mid-rotation option (a tweet Stroman liked!), it would seem that the man himself could be dropping subtle hints about his desired destination. I mean...you can't use "savage" this week and not think of the Yankees, right?
Gettin’ stronger. Second-half savage! #HDMH @HDMHApparel https://t.co/MbkExVLKi6

Literally, Stroman could be a second-half savage. Not too hard to parse that.
New York underscored the two main things we know about their 2019 outfit during this week's series against the Twins: they truly are savages in the box, and they truly do not have enough pitching to feel comfortable at any time.
We're days away from the trade deadline and the Yankees look more and more like a team that needs to add starting pitching. Here's a piece evaluating their market options and the return packages they might have to offer: https://t.co/mttNYPBlae

Stroman would change that if he became a Bronx-based savage immediately. Yankee fans can only hope and dream that the momentum is turning as more tweets get sent. If he refers to pinstripes or Luke Voit being his best friend, then it'll be a wrap.
