Yankees 2020 Schedule Officially Revealed
By Sean Facey
The MLB schedules for 2020 were released Monday, and that means fans get a preview of what's to come next year.
And even though the Yankees are at the forefront of the playoff race here and now, it never hurts to take a quick peek at the slate they have in store starting next spring.
The Bronx Bombers kick things off in Baltimore next year on March 26, so fans looking for some offensive fireworks might want to consider heading to Camden Yards on Opening Day. The home opener at Yankee Stadium on April 2 against the Blue Jays.
They've also got a six-game road trip out west with three-game sets against the Athletics and Rangers. As for their first series against their AL East rivals in Boston, that won't come until May 8 when the Red Sox pay a visit to Yankee Stadium.
September appears as though it'll be both challenging and exciting for New York. They have five games against the Red Sox through the first 10 days of the month and then finish off the regular season with a seven-game homestand against the Houston Astros and Tampa Bay Rays.
New York certainly got some interesting interleague matchups as well. The Yankees will square off against all five teams from the NL Central. Most notably, they'll play host to the Chicago Cubs from June 26 to June 28 in a clash of two of baseball's most iconic franchises.
And of course, the Yankees and White Sox will play in Iowa on August 13 next to the set of the iconic baseball movie "Field of Dreams" before heading back to Chicago to play the last two games of the series.
Even though the team has World Series aspirations in 2019, there's plenty to get excited about for next year. So, Yankees fans, mark your calendars!
