Yankees Release 25-Man Roster for ALCS vs Astros
By Parker White

Prior to Game 1 of the ALCS against the Houston Astros, the New York Yankees finally released who will be on their 25-man roster and there are some huge additions.
After being left off the ALDS roster, the Yankees have decided to add left-handed pitcher CC Sabathia and outfielder Aaron Hicks.

Even with Hicks making the roster after missing time with an elbow injury, fellow outfielder Cameron Maybin will remain on the roster.
To make room for Sabathia and Hicks, the Yankees have decided to take infielder Tyler Wade and first baseman Luke Voit off the roster. Neither player had any sort of impact in the previous round, so it's not that big of a loss.

It remains to be seen how Sabathia will be used, if at all. There's no guarantee and it's highly unlikely he'd get a postseason start, so look for him to be used out of the pen as a situational lefty.
Hicks could actually find himself in the starting lineup. However, Brett Gardner has been very good as New York's starting center fielder. Hicks certainly provides a potential power threat off the bench to go along with his plus defense.
