Aaron Judge reps the Yay Area, and he reps it well. One of baseball's current golden Gods, Judge rolled up to the Super Bowl in Miami on Sunday a few days after attending Derek Jeter's Hall of Fame soiree. The young slugger showed reverence for the oldies, rocking a white Jerry Rice throwback jersey with the 1994 patch.

It's been a tough week for Judge; his old coach and mentor from his Cape Cod League days, John Altobelli, passed away in the Calabasas helicopter accident that also took the lives of Kobe and Gianna Bryant, among six others.

This will be a hard-fought battle for Judge's Niners, and it's almost a shame that he's got to exert mental energy in rooting them on. Usually, the Super Bowl is the last bastion of relaxation for MLB stars, just a few weeks before their Spring Training report date.

It's a family affair for the kid, too. Judge's parents are in Miami, and even had the pleasure of running into coaching legend Tony Dungy this week at the festivities.

For Judge's sake, we hope he has a great time, whether the 49ers' machine-like offense is functional or not.
