Yankees Activate Gary Sanchez From IL
By Michael Luciano

While Austin Romine and Kyle Higashioka did a more than adequate job of holding down the fort in his absence, Gary Sanchez is back and ready to start mashing.
The Yankees activated Sanchez off of the IL on Saturday. In a corresponding move, Higashioka was sent down to Triple-A Scranton.

Sanchez, who made his second All-Star team, has hit .229 with 24 home runs in just 77 games this season. While he's performed at his expected All-Star level this season, the month of July was a bit of a rough go for Gary, as he picked up just six hits in 59 at-bats (a .102 average) with just one home run.
Provided that Sanchez is fully recovered from the groin injury that was plaguing him last month, expect for the Kraken to return to breaking Statcast records on his trademark monster home runs.

Imagine being the Yankees. Your backups have helped carry you to the best record in the AL, and now you get the luxury of throwing Sanchez into the mix.
