Yankees Announce Gleyber Torres Left Tuesday's Game With 'Core Pain'
By Adam Weinrib

Gleyber Torres' core remains unfit for nine innings of Major League Baseball, and there's no real reason he should be playing for the next stretch of games.
Though Torres himself neglected to call his trauma "pain" in pregame action on Tuesday, when he left the game early, many suspected his strange sensations had migrated further up the discomfort scale.
Per the team, Torres left the contest with "core pain."

Torres will head back to NYC to undergo even more testing; he hasn't looked right since reporting the initial issue, and there's no harm done by giving him further time on the shelf.
Gleyber Torres back to NY for more tests. Boone said he wasn’t sure if it would be an IL thing. No more specifics on the pain. Called it a core pain again.

If it's the worst-case scenario, however (a sports hernia), much like the one Luke Voit recently suffered, you have to wonder why Torres was allowed to play this week, and how exactly the Yankees' medical staff is conditioning sports hernias.
Gleyber probably has a sports hernia too. What are the Yanks doing so wrong?

Probably better to not think about it, huh?
