The Yankees are dominating the AL East this year and don't appear ready to slow down anytime soon, much to the disappointment of Red Sox fans.

But this is a feeling fans should know well considering just a year ago it was Boston in the driver's seat all season, while the Yankees looked up at them in the standings.

The Red Sox won the AL East last year with a comfortable eight-game advantage over the 100-win Yankees, who would've won all but the AL East and AL West divisions with that record.

Now this year, it's the Red Sox who seemingly can't catch the Yankees, no matter how well they play. Boston has won 10 of its last 14 games to rise back above .500 after a slow start.

Naturally, the Yankees have won 11 of their last 12 games to deny the Red Sox any hope of gaining ground on the division-leading juggernaut. The team set a new MLB record with 29 straight games with a home run all while picking up games in the division over the red-hot Red Sox.

The Red Sox will get their chance to pick up two games on the Yankees this weekend in London, but shouldn't expect New York to slow down anytime soon -- just like they didn't slow down for the Bombers last season.
