Yankees Botch Friday Night Lineup Card With Didi Gregorius Gaffe

Didi Gregorius: jack of all trades. The Yankees shortstop is apparently more than just that, as the team accidentally listed him twice in the lineup for their Friday night game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

They even had Brett Gardner, the actual center fielder, remain in the graphic, despite his name being replaced by Didi's.

Get 'em next time, social media intern.

If there's anyone the Yankees don't want to keep out of the lineup Friday, it's Gardner, who's been red hot of late. The 35-year-old has an OPS of .955 in his last 30 games, and he's batting a sizzling .417 in his last seven since returning from the 10-day IL.

Luckily, these online lineup cards are far from official, so no, the NYY weren't charged with a violation (Alex Cora must be up in arms!), nor were they forced to take the field with Gregorius manning two spots. Purely cosmetic.
