By Scott Rogust
Everyone in the professional sports world is showcasing their Halloween spirit on Thursday. There are plenty of athletes who have had some interesting costumes in the past week. From Jimmy Graham dressed as Aaron Judge, to OJ Simpson as Patrick Mahomes. Yet, we may have an undisputed winner of Halloween from the athlete world.
Recently retired New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia posted a photo of him and his family dressed up as the iconic Marvel heroes "Guardians of the Galaxy."
Gamora, Groot, Rocket, Nebula, Mantis, and even Thanos! The gang is all there, minus Star-Lord and Drax the Destroyer. The effort put into the costumes are legit, especially with Sabathia as the Infinity Gauntlet wielding villain.
Sabathia's MLB career came to an end on inauspicious fashion. During Game 5 of the ALCS, Sabathia came in for relief duty, but departed due to a dislocated left shoulder.
A day following the Yankees' postseason exit by the Houston Astros, Sabathia sent out a tweet, marking the end of his MLB career official.
CC Sabathia is beginning his retirement in style, starting off with an awesome showing for Halloween alongside his loved ones.
