Deivi Garcia is a highly-touted prospect in the New York Yankees system that got a chance to show off how he would fare against MLB talent on Friday. The young right-hander impressed and showcased his well-regarded fastball when he struck out Atlanta Braves' veteran outfielder Marcell Ozuna, catching him looking with a heater on the outside corner.

Leaving one of the league's biggest sluggers frozen at the plate is a surefire way to leave a good impression on the big league manager, and Aaron Boone had nothing but good things to say about his 20-year-old hurler after the game.
With Luis Severino and James Paxton hindered by injury, there's all of a sudden an opening in the Yankees' rotation. Garcia, among others, will be looking to do whatever they can to seize the vacancy.
