VIDEO: Yankees Post Hilarious Fake Ad With Starting Pitching Staff Featuring Gerrit Cole
By Michael Luciano
The New York Yankees' starting pitchers might be dropping like flies, but what few somewhat healthy hurlers remain managed to shoot a nifty little fake commercial for "Whiff's Garage." Led by the $324 million man Gerrit Cole, the rest of the Yankees rotation, including JA Happ, Masahiro Tanaka and James Paxton, united for a pretty clever video in which they pretend to be mechanics at a local garage.
If you stuck around to the end, you managed to get a surprise cameo from Yankees legend Ron Guidry.
Cole and Guidry are the highlights of this nifty little clip, but some fans really seem to like Tanaka's part. Maybe Tanaka can parlay this humble beginning into a nice little career as an actor once his baseball career is over? You have to start somewhere.
Some of these pitchers better not quit their very successful day jobs, but Tanaka, Cole and Guidry are just as good in front of a camera as they are on the mound.
