VIDEO: Gio Urshela Punishes Home Run to Dead Center vs Red Sox to Extend Yankees' Lead
By Michael Luciano

The evolution from Triple-A infielder to elite offensive third baseman for New York Yankees' Gio Urshela was a joy to watch last season, and it seems as though he has managed to carry his improved swing over to 2020. Urshela blasted a solo home run in a Spring Training game against the Boston Red Sox that extended the Yankees' lead to 7-0 in just the third inning.

Based on his performance this spring, Urshela seems to have a stranglehold on the starting third baseman job. The Yanks will certainly need him clubbing the ball with Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton expected to miss the start of the season.
