Yankees Have Completely Owned Camden Yards This Season
By Sean Facey
To say that the Yankees have absolutely dominated the Orioles this year would be a gross understatement. They're 11-2 against Baltimore and have outscored them 95-56.
However, what those numbers don't tell you is just how good they've been on the road against the O's. The Yankees have practically made Camden Yards their personal hitter's playground, winning each of their eight games against their AL East rival, while scoring 72 runs on 32 home runs and 94 hits.
That's right, the Yankees are averaging FOUR home runs per game at Camden Yards this year while managing an equally impressive nine runs scored per game. It's nothing short of utter domination.
These are literally video-game numbers. It's as though every hitter in the Yankees' lineup kicks it up a notch while playing on the road against the Orioles.
A prime example of this would be the efforts of Gleyber Torres. In 34 plate appearances at Camden Yards in 2019, he's slashed .429/.529/1.250 with seven home runs, 10 runs batted in and a 335 wRC+. His and the rest of the team's success borders on unbelievable.
At this point, Baltimore might just be better off forfeiting their home games against New York so they can just save themselves the embarrassment of having to play.
