Yankees Pitcher Luis Cessa Was a Little Late to the Whole 'When and Where' Thing
By Jerry Trotta
There's no counting how many MLB players have taken to social media across the last two months to express their exasperation with the effectively comatose negotiations process for the 2020 season. In fact, some of the league's biggest stars are so fed up with the latest snag that they recently started a unifying trend on Twitter.
Players were seen posting the rallying cry "tell us when and where," and their efforts actually prompted the owners to submit their most reasonable proposal to date.
Unfortunately, however, New York Yankees right-hander Luis Cessa was a little tardy to the "when and where" party, as he posted an Instagram with that exact caption on Friday, three days too late.
Oh no, Luis!
Maybe the Yankees should hire the 28-year-old hurler a social media manager so that he stays up to date with the latest news. While him being out of the loop is comical, it's also pretty befuddling when you consider that his teammate, Gerrit Cole, was a prominent spokesperson of the "when and where" movement.
Hopefully, the Yankees' new ace, or somebody else on the team, takes the initiative to inform Cessa on negotiations from this point forward. We'd hate for the Mexico native to make himself look foolish on social media again.
