The New York Yankees have made the corresponding roster move in response to Domingo German being placed on Administrative Leave, and it could actually give the Bombers a now-much-needed shot in the arm.
Suddenly in need of a capable pitcher following the abhorrent news that German being investigated for a domestic violence incident, New York is promoting top pitching prospect Michael King, who finished a comeback from an injury scare late in the summer.

The Yankees signed RHP Michael King (#73) to a Major League contract and selected him to the active roster.
King, the team's No. 5 prospect entering the season, suffered an elbow impingement in the spring, and only made it back to the mound by late July for his first rounds of rehab.
By the end of the season, he'd posted a 4.18 ERA overall in Triple-A, but that line featured a near-spotless shutout of Pawtucket, and four innings of shutout ball as an exclamation point during the Double-A playoffs.
The #Yankees called up MIchael King to replace Domingo German on the roster. King was part of the return when the NYY traded Caleb Smith and Garrett Cooper to the #Marlins

Rest assured, the Yankees Universe is beyond happy for King, but wish his first appearance was under better circumstances.
