Colorado Rockies star Nolan Arenado is as disgruntled as he can possibly be, and despite the front office's wishes, he may soon be donning a new uniform. He would no doubt net quite a nice prospect haul for the Rockies. Should he be traded to the New York Yankees in particular, then the front office should have their eyes set these three rising stars in the minors.

3. RHP Clarke Schmidt

The Rockies could always use a boost in pitching, and that makes 23-year-old righty Clarke Schmidt a prime prospect for them to target. He's shown plenty of promise in his development, especially after a solid 2019 campaign in Double-A last in which he posted a 2.37 ERA. Acquiring him would help bring some balance to their position player-heavy farm system.

2. OF Estevan Florial

The Rockies' farm system is parched of outfield talent. Now that Sam Hilliard has cracked the majors, they have just one outfielder in their top 10 prospects. Florial, however, could be the perfect solution to that problem. At one point, he was the Yankees' top prospect thanks to his solid defense play and upper echelon speed. Though he has regressed a bit, he'd be a quality piece for Colorado to target to help bring some positional variety to the prospect pipeline.

1. RHP Deivi Garcia

Garcia is the type of pitcher who would be perfect for the Coors environment. He doesn't give up too many home runs, and he has an uncanny ability to miss bats. Last year alone, he managed to strike out 165 men in just 111 1/3 innings of work across three levels of the minors. He cracked Triple-A at the age of 20, and he could make the majors by the end of the 2020 season should the Rockies trade for him.
