Yankees Provide Injury Update on Aaron Judge
By Ryan Flores
The New York Yankees finally got some good news regarding one of their young superstars. On Monday, manager Aaron Boone stated that Aaron Judge ran and threw for the first time since his injury.
This is huge news, as Judge has been sidelined for a month now and had yet to resume baseball activities up to this point. He's yet to swing the bat, so it's not like a return to the major league roster is imminent at all, but it's a step in the right direction.
The Yankees have played inspired baseball without their star offensive players like Miguel Andújar, Giancarlo Stanton, Didi Gregorius and Aaron Judge, as they are now 28-17, good for first in the AL East.
The injury curse in the South Bronx could very well be coming to an end with most of the Yankees star players due back sometime in June, so they're going to have to hold on just a little while longer. It doesn't seem like too much to ask for, however, with the way that Boone is getting production out of his players.
When Judge and the rest of the crew return from injury, the Yankees will likely be the clear cut favorites in the AL East, and potential favorites to make it to the World Series. Help is on the way, Yankee fans! Just hold on tight.
