Yankees Provide Positive Update on James Paxton's Injury
By Parker White

New York Yankees left-handed starter James Paxton went on the injured list earlier in the month with a knee injury. However, things seem to be progressing well after a recent bullpen session.
James Paxton tossed a bullpen today at Yankee Stadium. He said that he still felt a little bit of discomfort in his knee, but not the same pain as before.

Aaron Boone said that if Paxton comes in feeling good tomorrow, he will throw another bullpen on Thursday.
Paxton threw in the bullpen, and even though he felt a little discomfort in his knee, it was not the same kind of pain he felt before. If Paxton doesn't have a setback coming in on Wednesday, he'll throw another bullpen session on Thursday.
To combat any potential issues moving forward, the Yankee southpaw is wearing a large brace on his left knee, which he plans on using in the short term.

Barring an unforeseen setback, Paxton should be back in the Yankee rotation at the end of the month or early June.
Before landing on the shelf, the 30-year-old was carrying the rotation, posting a 3-2 record with a 3.11 ERA and 52 strikeouts over 37.2 innings in seven starts.
