VIDEO: Yankees and Red Sox Went Nuts and Had Massive Brawl 2 Years Ago Today
By Andrew Gullotta

Doesn’t this just make you salivate for baseball? Two years ago today, the Yankees and Red Sox showed that the bad blood between mega-rivals runs deep when TWO bench-clearing incidents occurred in the same game. There needs to be some kind of national holiday marking this occasion forever and ever.
First, Red Sox second baseman Brock Holt was not keen to see Yankees first baseman Tyler Austin’s hard slide into second base. The slide resulted in Holt being “cleated” in the ankle by Austin, which made Holt rather upset. A small scuffle occurred between the teams, but that was merely a glimpse of what was to come.
On this date 2 years ago the Joe Kelly fight club was born.

Joe pummeled some hardo named Tyler Austin. The Red Sox would go on to crush the Yankees in the ALDS that year and go on to win the World Series. Boston won the fight and got the last laugh. pic.twitter.com/r7GzBS84M1
Word must’ve got around of Holt’s anger in the Red Sox dugout, as Boston pitcher Joe Kelly plunked Austin right in the back later in the game. This led to a HUGE brawl that saw fists flying everywhere after Austin charged the mound.
NEWS: Major League Baseball and the MLBPA are focusing on a plan backed by federal health officials that could have players in training camps by May and games soon thereafter.
