Yankees-Red Sox Sunday Night Baseball Showdown Will Be Delayed by Rain
By Parker White

This is the last thing either team wanted to see happen.
The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox are set to finish their four-game set tonight on Sunday Night Baseball, but they'll have to wait till after the 7:05 p.m. start time, as the game will be delayed due to weather.
Please be advised that we do not intend to start tonight's game on time. We will provide information as it becomes available.

Unless a rain storm comes out of nowhere, this shouldn't be a long delay, especially since it's not even raining at Yankee Stadium at the moment. Of course, there's a 15% chance or less of precipitation, so you have to wonder why they won't be starting on time.

I guess it's better to be safe than sorry, and one good thing for New York is that they've won the first three games of this series against Boston, including a sweep of Saturday's doubleheader. It's an important game, but they aren't the team behind the eight ball here.
