Yankees Release Lineup for First Game of Home Showdown With Red Sox

The New York Yankees have a chance to cushion their lead in the AL East, as they face the Boston Red Sox in New York this weekend. They're forced to take on the dangerous southpaw Chris Sale, so manager Aaron Boone has loaded up on right-handed hitters for the occasion.

The Yankees have been scoring a bunch of runs of late with this lineup, so there was no need to change it. DJ LeMahieu, Luke Voit, Aaron Hicks and Gary Sanchez will make up the top half of the batting order.

The only omission that's a real head-scratcher is outfielder Clint Frazier beginning the game on the bench rather than Brett Gardner.

Both Frazier and Gardner don't have a lot of success against Sale, but at least Frazier has taken the Red Sox southpaw deep before.
