The New York Yankees made the biggest splash of the offseason by signing ex-Houston Astros ace Gerrit Cole. Bronx Bombers fans are giddy at the team's potential with Cole manning the starting rotation.

Well, they will get their first look at Cole on Monday night as he makes his spring training debut (that won't air on television). Additionally, the Yankees revealed their lineup for the big exhibition game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

New York isn't messing around in giving Cole some run support as he faces his former team.

DJ LeMahieu will lead things off, followed by outfielder Brett Gardner, and shortstop Gleyber Torres. Then, the true power steps up to the plate. Giancarlo Stanton will bat in the cleanup spot, where slugging catcher Gary Sanchez and first baseman Mike Ford will succeed him.

Oh, and the back end of the batting order will be Gio Urshela, Clint Frazier and Zack Granite, showcasing just how deep the Yankees roster will be in the 2020 regular season.

You can fully expect the Yankees to take it easy with Cole, considering the injuries to fellow starters Luis Severino and James Paxton. Brace yourself for an inning's worth of work for Cole.
