A plethora of rumors have suggested that the New York Yankees are being significantly stingy in terms of prospects they are prepared to offer in a potential deal to acquire a starting pitcher...and rightfully so.

When you have players with as much talent as Clint Frazier, Miguel Andujar and Deivi Garcia, among others, you must ensure that you are getting a STUD ready to help contribute to your World Series-aspirational club.

If their last series' against the Twins and Red Sox has indicated anything, it reiterated the fact that the Pinstripes are desperate for a starter(s). And Per MLB insider Jon Heyman, the club might just be willing to cough up a few highly-touted jewels to get it done.

Well, that certainly makes things interesting. Not that they weren't already, we just didn't have a complete, genuine understanding of Brian Cashman's ambitions.

The prestigious general manager appears ready to do what it takes to ensure the Bombers flaunt all the tools necessary to make a run at hoisting Commissioner's Trophy.

And even the most biased of Bronx buffs can admit they NEED one or two more competent hurlers to compliment the likes of Domingo German and Masahiro Tanaka (yes, despite his implosion against Boston) at the top of Aaron Boone's rotation...to say nothing of CC Sabathia's injury.

Get your popcorn ready folks. It promises to be an enthralling three days leading up to the July 31 deadline.
