The New York Yankees are expected to sign the next elite international prospect who has already been compared to the best baseball player in the game right now.

Jasson Dominguez is a 16-year-old prospect out of the Dominican Republic and is already showing signs he is the next big thing. The young prospect is a switch hitter who has massive pop and an incredible arm.

Come July 2, the Yankees are set to sign Dominguez with a signing bonus north of $5 million. That would be the highest New York has shelled out for an international player ever.

The young prospect regularly hits exit velocities of 110 mph from both sides of the plate and has been clocked at 6.3 seconds in the 60-yard dash.

The Yankees weren't the only team that had an eye on the center fielder. The Tampa Bay Rays, St. Louis Cardinals, Texas Rangers and the Los Angeles Angeles all know what Dominguez is capable of.

Dominguez has the talent to one day make it to the Majors, but the Mike Trout comparisons might be a bit premature.
