Yankees Setting MLB Power Records by Pummeling Orioles in Baltimore
By Sean Facey
It's safe to say that the Yankees have exorcised their Orioles demons from 2018.
After managing to finish just 12-7 against a team that lost 115 games last year, the Bronx Bombers have taken the Orioles behind the woodshed in their own house and beaten them into submission in 2019.
The Yankees have pounded out a whopping 20 home runs in just five games at Camden Yards this year, the most home runs all-time by any team in a five-game span at any road park.
And it's not as though they just ran up the score in one game. They've been brutally consistent, slugging three or more home runs in five consecutive games in Baltimore, also an MLB record for any team at any park.
Two players who have been incredibly crucial in New York's dominance over the AL East's cellar-dweller are Gleyber Torres and Gary Sanchez.
The two have combined to hit an absurd 11 home runs in Camden Yards this year, driving in 23 runs and combining for an unreal 1.768 OPS.
The Yankees are disgracing the Orioles with historic fashion, and they're doing it all right in front of Baltimore's home crowd.
It's all just downright awe-inspiring, and it's only the middle of May.
