How to Live Stream the Yankees-Blue Jays
First pitch is scheduled for 7:07 PM ET from the Rogers Centre and will be televised on SNET and YES. The game can also be viewed on the MLB streams subreddit.
Yankees Lineup
Opening up the road series for the Yankees will be DJ LeMahieu, with the red-hot tandem of Luke Voit and Gary Sánchez getting their chances after him. Aaron Hicks bats cleanup ahead of Gleyber Torres and Clint Frazier, who has shifted into the DH role amid his defensive woes. The order is rounded out by Gio Urshela, Cameron Maybin and Brett Gardner.
Masahiro Tanaka (3-4, 3.20 ERA) will take the bump for the Yankees tonight, looking to rebound after a poor last start against the Padres. In that game, he managed to grind out 6 innings but surrendered 9 hits and 5 runs en route to a loss against the Friars.
Blue Jays Lineup
Eric Sogard is leading off for the Jays, followed by rookie phenom Vlad Guerrero Jr. Justin Smoak is over at first base and batting third ahead of the powerful Rowdy Tellez, who is in at DH. Randall Grichuk and Cavan Biggio bat fifth and sixth respectively, with Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hitting seventh. Freddy Galvis and Danny Jansen round out the order.
Veteran lefty Clayton Richard (0-1, 3.38 ERA) will start on the mound for the Blue Jays in just his third appearance of the season. Richard has had a short leash since returning from the injured list in May, as he's managed to pitch only 4 innings in each of his first two starts.
The success of the Yankees in this matchup will be contingent on Tanaka, who has been solid but inconsistent this season, as he's allowed at least 5 runs in 3 of his 12 starts, but has also pitched some gems. As we head into the long summer, every divisional game matters, so the Yankees will be counting on Tanaka to have a strong bounce-back performance.
