The Indians (31-31) welcome the New York Yankees (39-22) to Cleveland for a three-game series over the weekend. Cleveland is coming off a massive 2-1 series win over the Minnesota Twins, while the Yankees dropped two of their last three to the Toronto Blue Jays, their first series loss since being swept in a two-game set in Arizona a month ago.

The Yankees will go with right-hander Domingo Germán on the mound Friday night. They'll need an expert outing from Germán, as New York's biggest struggle lately has been keeping their opponents off the scoreboard.

Through his first two starts, Plesac has pitched 12.1 innings, allowing just two runs on eight hits. The Indians will also look to keep up their offensive productivity, after tallying 18 runs over their three-game series with the Twins.
