The New York Yankees (35-18) will take on the San Diego Padres (28-26) for the second game of a three game set in the Bronx. The Yankees offense shined bright Monday in the win launching three home runs thanks to Gary Sanchez, Brett Gardner, and Clint Frazier.

The young roster of San Diego will look to slug their way back into the win column Tuesday night after losing Monday afternoon. Manny Machado has been a force of late in the lineup sporting a batting average of .314 in his last 15 games. He has three homers off of Yankees Tuesday night starter Masahiro Tanaka.
Taking the ball for the Padres tonight is lefty Eric Lauer. The San Diego southpaw is coming off one of his best starts of the season against Arizona where he went seven innings just giving up one run.

On the hill Tuesday night for the Yankees is Masahiro Tanaka. The Japanese pitcher has an ERA of 2.15 in the month of May and has only given up two runs in his last three starts.
