Yankees vs Red Sox MLB Live Stream Reddit for Series Opener in the Bronx

After a rainout last night, the New York Yankees (36-19) and Boston Red Sox (29-27) will go head to head in the first game of a now three game set in the Bronx. Boston is currently 7.5 games back from the first place Yankees and will hope to gain some ground on their rivals this weekend.

The Red Sox offense comes in after scoring nine runs against Cleveland two nights ago. Despite losing 14-9 in that game, the Sox blasted four homers.

On the mound tonight is the 1-6 Chris Sale. The Red Sox lefty has not had the best year so far but he has pitched a little better of late. Sale has logged 88 strikeouts in 62.1 innings pitched.

Yankees Lineup

Like Boston, New York is coming into this game after launching four home runs in their previous game against San Diego. The Yankees lineup in the past has had success off of Sale as the Sox southpaw is 7-5 in his career against the Yankees lineup.

Toeing the slab for the Yankees tonight is J.A. Happ. This will be Happ's 12 start of the season and second against the Red Sox. The Yankees lefty has struggled this year with a record of 4-3 and an ERA of 5.09.
