Zack Britton Reveals MLBPA Has Discussed Alternative for Yankees Playing Games Away From New York for 2020 Season
By Thomas Carannante

With the coronavirus outbreak in New York getting significantly worse by the day, it's hard to imagine the Yankees returning to the Bronx promptly once Major League Baseball decides on the start of the 2020 season.
And according to New York reliever Zack Britton, alternative options for the Bronx Bombers have been discussed, including the Yankees playing at "4-5 neutral sites" once play resumes.

Britton added that the Yankees are not the only team under consideration to play at neutral sites. A number of others are being considered for the very same reason, even if the stadiums are empty. The risk at this point is too high and the league will be taking every last precaution to make sure the players are safe if they have to get back to work.
The MLB has been diligent in considering alternative options for just about every possibility for the 2020 season, with the most recent seemingly getting the best reception among fans. At this point, everyone is just going to have to accept whatever limitations are imposed because the pandemic has been as unpredictable as can be with each passing day.
