Young Fan Struck by Albert Almora Jr. Foul Ball in Houston Suffered Skull Fracture and Seizures
By Parker White

Last month when the Chicago Cubs played in Houston against the Astros, outfielder Albert Almora Jr. hit a screaming line drive into the stands. Unfortunately, it struck a young fan who needed immediate medical attention, visibly leaving Almora Jr. shaken in the process and aftermath.
It's now being reported that the fan, a two-year-old girl, suffered a skull fracture and seizures afterwards, according to her lawyer.

"The family's foremost concern is about the health of their child, but they also wanted me to extend their thanks to the fans and the Astros for their concern," said Houston attorney Richard Mithoff.
Sadly, this young girl also suffered subdural bleeding, brain contusions and brain edema.

Albert talked again yesterday with @LaurenceWHolmes about why MLB should extend its netting to each foul pole. https://t.co/08Kw53uy1j
Almora has been among the big league players clamoring for extended netting so this kind of incident doesn't happen again. He's still pretty emotional about what happened a month ago in Houston, which you can certainly understand.
And it's likely time for Major League Baseball to heed that call. We simply cannot do this anymore, if we can prevent it.
