VIDEO: Yu Darvish Sets Cubs Franchise Record With 8 Consecutive Strikeouts

Yu Darvish's first season on the North Side didn't go according to plan. After joining the 2018 Cubs as a big-money free agent signing, the veteran starter went on to play all of 40 innings as he succumbed to injuries fell off the map. This season, however, has seen a far more enticing Darvish-- one that went wild Tuesday against the Reds and set a Cubs all-time record with eight straight Ks.

BOOM. Yu don't want none of this jelly.

Darvish finished with 13 strikeouts for the game. Unfortunately, the Cubbies couldn't get the job done against Sonny Gray and Cincy, and fell 4-2, but that doesn't mean that Darvish's performance won't live on in the record books for a long, long time.
