Yu Darvish Implies Astros Would've Been Disbanded if They Played in Japan
By Jerry Trotta

Yu Darvish is one of the various MLB players to state, on numerous occasions, his resentment towards the Houston Astros and the organization's sign-stealing scandal. Not only has the four-time All-Star ripped into Carlos Correa, but he's also berated a few delusional Astros fans on social media.
To nobody's surprise, Darvish wasn't quite finished providing his perspective on the scandal that was dominated headlines the entire offseason. While at Spring Training, Darvish told the Los Angeles Times that the Astros probably would have been disbanded had they played overseas in Japan.
An extended conversation with @faridyu about crime and punishment in the US vs. Japan, the reason Carlos Correa’s comments about @Cody_Bellinger upset him, why the #Astros have to be stripped of their 2017 championship. https://t.co/azhQLQOL3p #Dodgers

Darvish went on to compare the MLB to Nippon Professional Baseball, which has two six-team leagues, saying that the championship-winning club would absolutely have been stripped of its title.
Obviously, the MLB would never consider disbanding the Astros, but it just goes to show how minimal the discipline placed upon the organization by Rob Manfred truly was.

Considering Darvish thinks the entire organization would've been disbanded in the NPB, Astros players should be counting their lucky stars that they got off scot-free.
