Zion Williamson Might've Tipped His Hand by Taking First Pelicans Photo in Nikes
Zion Williamson was the first pick of the 2019 NBA Draft and is arguably the most popular player to enter the Association since LeBron James. With that level of stardom, there's no question that every shoe company is begging Zion to sign a deal with them. But they may already be out of luck.
Zion appeared in his first Pelicans photo shoot wearing none other than Kyries, making many wonder if the rookie has already signed a contract with the brand.
If the decision has already been made, it wouldn't be much of a surprise considering that Zion played at Duke and was constantly equipped with custom Nike gear like the Kyries. It also would be a smart marketing move after the shoe incident that swept the nation late in Zion's freshman season.
Zion's shoe did completely fall apart on him, but Nike was quick to correct the mishap with custom fitted Kyries that seemed to work well for the big man.
It's still only the first team photo shoot and since the Kyrie shoe is familiar to Zion, he may be wearing them until a final decision is made. Either way, Williamson's signature may still be up for grabs.
